Educational Leaders and Blogs

While blogs are quite common place for those seeking more casual connections to people in their lives and within cyber space, to my knowledge this resource is largely untapped for professionals.  Blogging, in my opinion, offers an opportunity for educators to share their experience solving problems within their own system which readers might apply in their setting. The latter might decrease feelings of isolation and frustration while potentially increasing a sense of interconnectedness and shared responsibility for education. Additionally, blogs can be used to reach students and parents to increase awareness about what is happening in the classroom, expectations for learning and increased avenues of communication with the teacher and one another.

  1. I really like the idea of using a blog to limit the feeling of isolation and frustration. Having a shared responsibility of any issues going on in your school can help solve issues and carry out changes more quickly and efficiently.
